AMG Podcast: Andrew Mack Discusses Field Testing of Agromovil in Rural Colombia
In February, Raza Khan and Andrew Mack of the AMGlobal Team, along with Dr. William Chernicoff of the the Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF), headed to Colombia to demo/test the core functionalities of our new App ecosystem Agromovil in meetings with producer associations/cooperatives, transporters, processors/exporters, banks, and government. The feedback was amazing! AMGlobal held round table discussions as well as in depth conversations in Cali, La Union, and Pereira, discussing how the app can help streamline the process of getting crops to market, and getting valuable advice from many stakeholders in the ag value chain.
The project received the "visto bueno" of the Regional Agricultural Secretariat of Valle del Cauca. Demo participants included important potential partners such as SAG (Sociedad De Agricultores Y Ganaderos Del Valle de Cali), ADAGRO (Asociación de Agricultores del Occidente Colombiano), ASOHASS (Risaralda's Association of Producers of Hass Avocado), and Banco Agrario, as well as Valle de Cauca’s Secretary of Innovation and Economic Innovation, Dennyson Mendoza.
The Team also had the chance to meet with important organizations focused on working with Post-Conflict affected parts of Colombia such as Valle en Paz and FDI (Fundación para el Desarrollo Integral del Pacífico).
Thanks to our many new friends and partners. We look forward to working with you -- and TMF -- as we continue building Agromovil.
