Global Talent Summit 2016: Microfranchising & The Global Youth Unemployment Crisis

On January 13, AMGlobal’s Andrew Mack gave a TED-style talk entitled “Changing the Shape of Opportunity — Microfranchising and the Global Youth Unemployment Crisis”. The talk was part of a day long “Global Talent Summit” put on by Diplomatic Courier, and held at the world headquarters of the prestigious international polling agency Gallup. Mack’s talk, which directly followed the introductory keynote by Gallup CEO Jim Clifton, addressed our need to create hundreds of millions of new jobs — especially in the global south — over the next twenty years by changing our approach to employment, literally changing the shape of our employment model. “Our action – or inaction – will determine if these young people are future markets or future migrants, if in 5 years they are working in tourism or terrorism. The choices are that stark.”
